Eudoxus Systems Ltd specialises in the application of mathematical optimization techniques in the supply-chain. Optimization has established itself over the past 50 years as the most consistently successful technique for allocating scarce resources. Formerly available only to the largest corporations on mainframe computers, it has now come within reach of all.

Established in 1994, we offer a range of services from consultancy and modelling to support and maintenance. The main focus of our work is on planning and scheduling systems. In the paper industry these are bound up with deckling problems, i.e. working out how to cut up the enormous reels in which paper is made. For converters in the paper industry we have developed an Excel spreadsheet application which enables them to optimize the sheet sizes which they use

As well as our particular expertise in the paper industry we also specialise in the oil industry, both upstream and downstream. We also enjoy rising to the challenge of novel applications, whether they be filling advertising slots, managing product life cycles or minimizing capital gains tax. Even though we tackle problems which are hard and possibly ill-defined, wherever possible we work to a fixed price. This gives our clients certainty in their budgets and enables us to build good relationships which are not undermined by financial wrangles.
